Job Description

The HR Generalist, provides all general support of HR functions. This role is responsible for providing customer service to employees, managers, and the HR community in response to inquiries related to a broad range of HR-related topics, including but not limited to HR policy, staffing, benefits, and performance management. The HR Generalist will perform administrative, transactional, and data/records management activities in support of HR and HRIS functions, including processing life-cycle transactions such as onboarding, status change, compensation, separations, etc. to the business units on this account. Will assist in identifying best practices and organizational efficiencies, as well as mentor and train line managers to accurately apply human resource policies and programs within the unit.

COMPENSATION: The hourly rate of pay for this position is 68,000.00/year - 70,000.00/Year. This is Aramark?s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate of compensation for this position as of the time of posting.

Job Responsibilities

  • Create and implement internal HR processes and procedures within ARAMARK guidelines.
  • Maintain compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations.
  • Develop and advise innovative employee motivation and morale programs.
  • Must possess strong interpersonal and communications skills.
  • Ability to listen to employee concerns and have outstanding analytical problem-solving and interpersonal skills.
  • Responsible for day-to-day HR functions including recruiting, staffing, hiring, training, development, coaching, incentives, and disciplinary procedures.
  • Support Payroll Coordinator in reviewing and processing payroll.
  • Support Payroll Coordinator and HR Coordinator with mandatory union report submission.
  • Works with service desk, MyHR or IT when there is a problem
  • Accurately inputs data corrections and changes in Aramark systems of record and payroll
  • Follows ARAMARK policies and procedures and provides guidance to leadership in this regard
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, holidays or as needed based on operational business needs.
  • Work independently and effectively manage working times
  • Support multiple projects at a time and will need to have the ability to multitask and meet set deadlines

Qualifications

  • Experience working in a call center environment strongly preferred
  • Strong computer/technical skills; previous HRIS experience preferred
  • Bachelor?s degree in HR or related field strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of HR concepts and terminology
  • Effective verbal communication skills
  • Effective listening skills
  • Confirmed customer service orientation
  • Confident phone presence
  • Solid ability to grasp information quickly and probe optimally when required
  • Excellent organizational skills and the ability to prioritize requests and duties
  • Attention to detail
  • Effective research, problem-solving, and follow-through skills
  • Ability to remain positive under pressure
  • Bilingual (English and Spanish) preferred
  • SHRM-CP Preferred
