The Queens District Attorney's Office (QDA) is currently seeking applicants for an Administrative Assistant position to help support the Felony Trial Bureau I (FTBI). The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for a variety of administrative duties including, but not limited to:

  • Answering telephone and in-person inquiries from members of the public, victims, complainants, attorneys, police officers and QDA staff
  • Managing the Bureau Chief and FTBI Assistant District Attorneys' (ADAs) calendars
  • Maintaining case files and drafting reports as required
  • Assisting with data entry, document uploads and searching for information in the office's Case Tracking system
  • Scanning, uploading, reviewing and redacting documents and exhibits
  • Generating monthly case reports for Bureau meetings
  • Making required email notifications, entering information into templates and drafting letters/documents as needed
  • Maintaining inventory of office supplies
  • Assisting with other clerical duties, as assigned
Preferred Education and Qualifications:
Qualified candidates will have at least a high school diploma (or its educational equivalent) and must have the ability to multi-task and communicate effectively and working knowledge of computers and email. Applicants must be able to regularly work Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Strong preference will be given to candidates with prior clerical experience, including experience with data entry into computerized systems, handling documents of sensitive nature (filing, delivering, scanning, etc.), or to candidates with bilingual ability (written, spoken or both).

Application Information:
Salary Range: $46,000 - $51,000 (commensurate with experience)
